Softball assessment tools are used in the evaluation process by most all coaches and even some players. The degree to which they are used will vary depending on how the coach or player feels about the importance of the evaluation process. It is important to evaluate the team at least a few times per year. The beginning of the season, mid way through the season and close to the playoffs. Evaluating the team close to the playoffs is important so you can utilize the skills of the team to their maximum potential. This will also allow you to have realistic expectations.
