Add to Home Screen

To create a mobile phone shortcut (or “add to home screen”) from a website, open the website in your browser, tap the menu icon (usually three dots or a share icon), and select “Add to Home Screen” or a similar option. 

I did this with my own phone.

Here’s a more detailed explanation:

Android (Chrome):

  1. Open Chrome and navigate to the website: you want to create a shortcut for.
  2. Tap the three dots (menu icon): in the upper right corner.
  3. Select “Add to home screen” .
  4. You may be prompted to rename the shortcut: before adding it to your home screen.
  5. Tap “Add”: to create the shortcut. 

iPhone/iPad (Safari):

  1. Open Safari and navigate to the website: you want to create a shortcut for.
  2. Tap the Share icon: (the square with an arrow pointing out of it).
  3. Scroll down and tap “Add to Home Screen”.
  4. You can customize the icon and name: before adding the shortcut.
  5. Tap “Add”: to create the shortcut.
